Description (Service)

Building division is a component of the Development Services Department.

Division is responsible for: 

  • Reviewing and enforcing compliance with the Ontario Building Code 
  • Issuing of building permits 
  • Inspecting buildings under construction
  • Administering Property Standards
  • Administering the Development Charges By-law
  • Administering the Sign By-law
  • Responding to inquiries from solicitors and general public
