Description and Service

Description (Service)	Justice Safe beds are located in Barrie 6 Justice Safe Beds are accessible only via police/emergency services 24/7 For individuals experiencing a mental health, psychosocial or addiction related crisis and are in conflict with the justice system Non-medical service provided Crisis staff work with admitted clients, providing flexible care and collaborative crisis planning, respite, medication education and supervision, relapse and Crisis prevention and safety planning, coping strategies, housing support, referrals to any ongoing community services as required, and assistance with other goals and needs Clients are expected to be involved in goal-setting and discharge planning with staff support Justice Safe Bed requests are rapidly screened, and admissions are short-term, goal-oriented and solution-focused
Eligibility	Age Requirements: 16 yrs and up Youth, Adults who are in conflict with the justice system and are experiencing a mental health, addiction or psychosocial related crisis and are in need of non-medical crisis intervention individuals must be medically stable
Application	Referral - police and emergency services only Justice crisis beds are available if required following assessment by CMHA Crisis staff and prioritized due to limited access
