Description and Service

Description (Service)

Year-round sport training and competition for children and adults with an intellectual disability

  • currently offers 14 sports: 5 and 10 pin bowling, alpine and Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, curling, floor hockey, swimming, basketball, track and field, soccer, golf, bocce, and softball
  • weekly sport training sessions are organized by volunteer coaches


Active Start and Fundamentals are available for children 2-6 yrs old and 7-12 yrs old

Volunteer Description
  • Junior volunteers aged 14-17 and adult volunteers aged 18+ are welcome to register any time throughout the year
  • volunteer roles include sport coaching, administration, and special events
  • personal references and police check with vulnerable sector screening are required
