| Description (Service) | Financial support for families caring for a child experiencing a medical crisis Child must be currently in hospital or transitioning from hospital to home, assistance available for: Transportation costs to and from the hospital and treatments Accommodation costs for families who need to stay near their child if they come from out-of-town Meal support when on the road, providing families with essential meals during long hospital stays Essential household expenses, such as rent and utilities, preventing eviction Medical supplies and equipment not covered by OHIP, ensuring that children have the necessary tools for their recovery Rehabilitative therapies, which aid in the transition from hospital to home and help improve the quality of life for children as they recover 1:1 respite and sibling care to give caregivers a much-needed mental health break from the intense demands of caring for a child in crisis |
