Description and Service
Description (Service) The Children's Department serves families and children up to the grade eight level.  
 
Available to browse or borrow are books * magazines * music tapes * CD's * CD-ROMS * Books on CD * children's videos and DVD's.  
 
The variety of programmes offered includes: Book Babies * Tales for Two's and Three's * Preschool Stories * Drop-in Family Storytime.  
 
For school-age children the library hosts the Explorer's Club * summer and March break programs * PAWS to Read, a canine reading buddy program.
Eligibility Children up to grade 8 * Must be an resident of Orillia or Oro-Medonte to obtain a free membership * Others may purchase a membership * Anyone can visit the library
Application Must have identification and proof of address * Registration takes place in person at the front desk * Call or drop in for more information
