Program designed to provide comprehensive support for children at risk so they may build upon and foster their inherent ability to make healthy choices by:
provision of social supports to address issues of self-esteem, victimization and peer pressure
outreach initiative to ensure access to culturally appropriate services for children in care and their families including support and education for non-Aboriginal adoptive and foster parents;
addressing the inter-related health impacts of poverty, diabetes, and obesity
providing school suspension supports, direct access to computers and literacy and encouraging healthy relationships with peers and authority figures
providing access to tutoring and mentoring, supervised physical activities and incorporating a parent support component for children with Fetal Alchohol Syndrome and/or other disabilities and their families
providing counselling and support to children who have witnessed violence

Ages: 7 year(s) - 12 year(s)
Priority is for First Nation, Metis and Inuit peoples living off reserve
