Former Name Huronia Hearing Impaired
Description (Service) Supporting Deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people who are seeking employment and their potential employers. Services can be provided in person, virtually or a combination of both.

Provide:
  • job search training
  • resume and cover letter writing assistance
  • labour-market information
  • job placement support, job coaching and advocacy in the workplace for those who may be experiencing communication/cultural barriers
  • message relay between employers and potential employees
  • Interpreting and real-time Note-taking services
  • awareness/accessibility training opportunities to potential employers when hiring/employing deaf, deafened or hard of hearing people
  • access to necessary amplification, communication and alerting technology
Eligibility Must live within Simcoe County.
