Course Guides

Course guides stand at key intersections or turns to guide runners along the correct route and cheer them on.  The shift lasts approximately 3 to 4 hours and begins around 6:30 am. Access to a car, or a carpool may be necessary to reach the intersections positioned further on the course on time.

To sign up as a course guide, please visit: https://www.buttertarttrot.ca/volunteer, scroll down and click on the “sign up to be a volunteer” button. The application will be automatically sent to the volunteer coordinator once complete. The deadline to apply to be a course guide is May 30th 2026.

Student Volunteers
Are you a high school student in need of community service hours? By volunteering at the Butter Tart Trot, you have the opportunity to accrue volunteer hours needed for graduation. North Simcoe Rotaract will only sign off on the volunteer hours of students who have signed in and signed out of their shift at the volunteer desk.
