Sup. Description The Mobile Outreach Unit extends Welcome Centre settlement services to newcomer clients living in northern York Region and Simcoe County. Clients can meet with Welcome Centre staff conveniently in their own community. Individuals are assisted in gathering information and resources, and are supported in a welcoming and culturally sensitive manner. Clients are encouraged to develop a one-to-one trusting relationship with Mobile Unit staff while accessing all the services they require to help integrate economically and socially into their local communities. The Mobile Outreach Unit also supports volunteer led English Conversation Circles where participants practice English skills and meet other newcomers in their community.
