Description (Service) | Provides financial and employment assistance to people in need * beneficiaries able to work must participate full-time in suitable employment support activities including volunteer work. Financial support may be available for adults who are caring for a child who is not their own and experiencing a financial burden due to the added responsibility. Welfare Fraud Hotline: to report allegations of fraudulent collection of Ontario Works and Ontario Disability Support Program assistance Interactive Voice Response (IVR): automated information and payment details, payment history, file status * information and announcements about Ontario Works * Individuals receiving Ontario Works will be provided an ID number and PIN * service not available to TTY users |
Eligibility | Ages: 16 year(s) and up Simcoe County residents * Eligibility depends on assets and income * Students 16-18 years, attending school but not living at home must meet special circumstances to be approved for assistance. |
