Description (Service)

Works to improve the lives of urban-Indigenous individuals and families through a variety of culturally relevant programs and services

  • Programs span all stages of the life cycle and operate in a person-centered strengths based approach
  • BNFC is also a gathering space for Indigenous and non-Indigenous folks to come together
  • BNFC Justice Office is located at 135 Bayfield Street
  • provides information and support on how to apply for 'Registered Indian Status Cards
  • provides guest speakers who will discuss Indigenous issues and topics
  • community engagement events happen throughout the calendar year

Eligibility Open to Status, Non-Status, Inuit and Metis and everyone interested in learning about Native culture

  • To access regular scheduled programming individuals must complete intake with a BNFC programming staff
Languages English; Ojibwe - Interpretation
Fees Membership - $5 individual for Adults age 19+
Volunteer Description Volunteers welcome, need to provide a Criminal Reference Check ahead of time
