Description and Service

Description (Service) Program combines group work with a paid work experience to encourage the development of employ-ability and occupational skills
  • provides 6 weeks of pre-employment training (paid an allowance equal to minimum wage), followed by 12 weeks of paid work experience is followed by a paid work experience (wage set by employer)
  • funded by the Government of Canada under the Youth Employment Strategy Skills Link initiative, delivered by YMCA Youth Services of Simcoe Muskoka
