| Description (Service) | Service provides information, programs and clinical services to ensure people have protection from disease and to support them to make healthy choices * provides information and services to prevent the spread of communicable diseases such as chickenpox, hepatitis B, the flu (influenza) and other vaccine preventable diseases * inspects personal service settings * investigates reported cases of communicable disease * provides immunization clinics in schools and the community and maintains immunization records for all day nursery and school pupils * provides oral health education, screening programs and preventative services for children in school * immunization clinics by appointment (see separate records) * sexual health clinics by appointment (see separate records) in Barrie (80 Bradford St), Collingwood, Gravenhurst, Huntsville, Midland and Orillia * dental care and treatment for children of families on limited incomes and adults receiving certain Social Assistance Benefits (see separate records for Oral Health and Healthy Smiles Ontario) |
