Description (Service) Exists to increase community awareness about suicide and to support survivors * the council believes that education and public dialogue about suicide raises awareness and prevents deaths due to suicide * holds support group meetings for survivors * organizes public meetings and community education sessions to create awareness of suicide * annual walk for Suicide Awareness in Spring each year, registration and pledge forms available from website
