Description and Service

Description (Service) Group to discuss rose growing and other garden subjects
  • Meetings are held four times a year at the Dorian Parker Communiuty Centre
  • hosts a Rose Show in late June or early July at The Terraces at Heritage Square in Barrie, 92 Dean Ave
  • Regional contact people in various areas to assist with problems and answer questions from the public about growing roses
  • each year during the month of May the Huronia Rose Society sells rose bushes at the Saturday morning Farmer's Markets in Barrie , see Facebook page for details
  • maintains the Memorial rose Garden, featuring Hardy Canadian roses, at Barrie's South Shore Community Centre, a plaque with a list of the varieties of roses and a planting plan is on site
