Description (Service)

Crisis Services provide

  • Immediate intervention and mental health assessments to individuals presenting in the RVH Emergency Department with mental health concerns or crisis
  • Clinical impressions and collaboration with the interprofessional emergency department care team
  • Health teaching and brief 1:1 support
  • Referrals to appropriate resources within the RVH or the community for additional support as required

    Eligibility Age Requirements: 13 year(s) and up
    Application Crisis Services accessed through the RVH emergency department
    Languages English; French; Others languages may also be available depending on staff
    Fees None - covered by OHIP
