Description (Service) Program offers support to older adults in the Barrie community who for a variety of reasons are unable to take advantage of the 55+ centres * program exists to promote wellness in all areas of living: social, emotional and physical * offers fitness, lunch, opportunities to get to know new people and make new friendships, and opportunities to participate in activities
Eligibility Ages: 55 year(s) and up 
Seniors * living alone, or with family, who have physical limitations or transportation barriers preventing them from participating independently in regular activities at the centre * since the volunteers are not health care personnel and many are seniors themselves, senior participants must be able to look after their own personal needs and support their own weight without another person's assistance
