| Description | Special Olympics provides athletes with an intellectual disability the opportunity to experience and succeed in sports. Special Olympians gain self-confidence and transfer the success from the playing field to become more active citizens in society. Current sports being offered are: bowling, track and field, speed skating, figure skating, basketball. swimming, baseball and floor hockey. Some seasonal baseball and curling. |

| VOLUNTEER_DESC | *Volunteers are always needed to help administer bowling and swimming programs. One hour per week is required.
