Description

A peer to peer support group for children and adults grieving the death or impending death of a loved one * Centre facilitates parent groups for adults who have had a child die under 24 years of age and for parents who have had a spouse die and have children under 24 years of age in the home * groups include Sons and Daughters, Sibs and Friends, Child Survivors of Suicide, What About Me?, Teens, Young Adult (high school age) and Parent groups - On Our Own and Empty Arms * bereavement support services are extended to schools and the community * runs summer camp * provides educational services for professionals and students * community outreach opportunities include internships and practicums for students requiring work placements and practical experience to fulfill their academic curriculum requirements * a nonprofit registered charitable organization

Grief Busters Day Camp 2012: Camp is full for 2012 * held for one week in July and one week in August for children 7-12 yrs old * camp provides a peer support opportunity for children who are grieving due to the terminal illness or death of an immediate family member * camp includes music, memorial expressive art activities, creative and physical activities
